Chaudhry Muhammad Khan is a fellow Tax Practitioner. He has over 40 years of experience. Before establishing CMK & Co. in 1986, Mr. Khan was working with Fauji Foundation.
He is the founder partner of CMK & Co. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Punjab University. He has extensive vast experience of large tax and financial consultancy assignments involving several multi-location programs and a large range of donor support services. He also possesses vast experience in directing assignments related to review of internal control and monitoring.
His major expertise is in the area of fiscal policy and taxation. He has been Senior Vice President of Rawalpindi Islamabad Tax Bar Association. He has vast experience in taxation services with expertise in both direct and indirect taxation. Mr. Khan holds memberships of multiple professional institutions worldwide with a wide spectrum. His enormous spectrum of experience in assurance, taxation and advisory assignments with a total working experience of almost ten years has given him expertise to deal with complex situations easily. Before joining CMK & Co, he has been working with United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and A.F. Ferguson & Co. a member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Khan has been practicing in almost all major facets of tax and business advisory.
Apart from assurance and advisory services, Mr. Khan also holds expertise and specialty in taxation and fiscal laws. Working at CMK & Co. he has been independently handling tax matters of more than five hundred clients independently.
With USAID, Mr. Khan was heading the internal audit department of an economic growth project, Competitiveness Support Fund.
With PricewaterhouseCoopers, his major assurance engagement work includes clients from financial sector, telecommunication sector, microfinance institutions, oil and gas sector, USAID, ADB, World Bank and internal audit assignments. Mr. S. Khan received his LL.B (Hons.) from University of London. Mr. Khan was called to the Bar of England & Wales from Lincoln’s Inn and since then he has been practicing in almost all the major facet of legal practice. Mr. S. Khan has experience in the Superior Courts of Pakistan. He is an Advocate of the High Court and his areas of expertise include corporate laws, corporate litigation, ADR, mergers and acquisitions, banking law, real estate and construction, labor law, tax laws, service and employment matters, customs and family law.
Mr. Khan has appeared and conducted scores of important corporate litigation matters on behalf of local and foreign financial institutions and clients from the corporate sector. He has also conducted a number of arbitrations in relation to contractual and other disputes.
Apart from litigation and dispute resolution, Mr. Khan provides corporate advisory services involving financial services, mergers and acquisitions, real estate development, construction projects and advice to foreign clients on establishing a business presence in Pakistan.
